BP-51 is Old Man Emu's adjustable bypass shock: a 51mm remote-reservoir monotube with separate compression and rebound adjusters, so you can dial the ride in for a loaded touring rig or a fast trip up the beach. Choosing your kit

  • Front springs are chosen for what's on the nose: bull bar, winch, second battery. More accessory weight needs a firmer (higher N/mm) front spring.
  • Rear springs are chosen for the load you carry all the time: canopy, drawers, fridge, tools. Where OME rates the spring in kg, that's the constant load it's built for.
  • Greasable shackles/pins are the upgraded leaf-spring hardware option; standard bushes use OE-style rubber.
