Experience the pinnacle of performance with the Blackhawk Ultimate range of Upper Control Arms, designed to exceed industry standards!
Unmatched Development and Rigorous Testing
Blackhawk Ultimate’s upper control arms undergo the most comprehensive testing in the market, ensuring unmatched quality and durability. Each Blackhawk Ultimate Adjustable Upper Control Arm (UCA) is meticulously crafted through an extensive process of design and refinement to optimize steering geometry, suspension/vehicle clearance, and fitment.
Utilizing cutting-edge 3D scanning technology, a dynamic suspension model is developed to fine-tune the design. This model, combined with precise real-world wheel alignment data, aids in identifying necessary caster and camber adjustments and spatial constraints for the UCA. The resulting design is then 3D printed, meticulously fitted to the vehicle to validate fitment, clearance, and steering geometry.
The final Blackhawk Ultimate UCA design undergoes multiple Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations and a thorough adjuster-focused physical and destructive testing regime. These rigorous tests ensure that the Blackhawk Ultimate UCAs not only meet the stringent VSB14 compliance standards but also stand out as the most robust and adaptable UCAs available.
When developing new products, Blackhawk prioritizes using the maximum available axle capacity as the cornerstone of their calculations and analyses, ensuring that their products surpass the requirements for each specific application. This commitment not only guarantees legal compliance but, most importantly, prioritizes the safety of every user.
The Australian government’s Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, and the Arts oversees vehicle compliance within Australia. In 2011, the department established the National Code of Practice (NCOP) for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification (VSB14), setting technical standards for vehicle modifications and constructions.
Within VSB14, steering and suspension components are required to surpass four critical load cases for compliance:
1. Sustained Bump Load
2. Skid Load
3. Overturning Load
4. Fatigue Load
