All orders are shipped within 1-2 weeks.

If a tracking number is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders may not have tracking numbers due to provider options.

The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to not place your order if you decide not to.

Delivery charges

What is Rural Delivery fee?
An estimated delivery charge will apply to customers ordering from rural areas. Prior to processing you order on checkout, an alert will appear that will advise customers to call MYTUFF4X4 to obtain an accurate cost of delivery. Please contact MYTUFF4X4 to see a list of Rural and Remote areas. Some areas may take longer due to the frequency of deliveries to the delivery Post code. Our system calculates this estimated price considering the total amount of time to process your order including: packaging, transit time to the delivery provider, and transit time to the delivery address.

When placing your order, we consider these factors when calculating the Estimated Delivery prices :

  • Post code of the nominated delivery address.
  • Transit Time: The amount of time it takes your order to leave our distribution centre and arrive at the local delivery carrier.

What additional fees may apply?
There may be circumstances that require additional payment by you if the conditions mentioned have not been met or you require special services outside of our standard delivery.

Back Orders

If an item goes on back order we will ship you the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available we will ship you the rest of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment.

Delivery Insurance

Goods that are shipped on behalf of the client by Mytuff4x4 are not insured unless the client notifies us prior to delivery and pays for delivery insurance. Mytuff4x4 is not responsible for goods damaged in transit if insurance is not paid for by the customer prior to delivery.

Fitted by mechanics, not just bolted on.

MyTuff4x4 is backed by MB Mechanical Repairs, a full mechanical workshop in Warwick Farm, in the trade since 2011. When we fit a lift kit we look at the whole vehicle, not just the springs and shocks: the CV angles, ball joints, bushes and steering that a lift puts extra strain on. If something is worn, or won’t suit the height you’re after, we tell you before you find out on the track.

Fitting a full kit typically runs $750–$950 in labour. On LandCruisers and Patrols that need the adjustable arms or caster correction bushes as well, it can go up to $1,150. A wheel alignment afterwards is $120, and on a lifted vehicle it isn’t optional.

A Dobinsons 2″ lift kit for the leaf-sprung Nissan Patrol GQ ute (Y60 pickup / utility with leaf springs front and rear, 1988 to 05/1998). New leaf springs front and rear, Dobinsons Nitro Gas shocks all round, plus new bushes and U-bolts for both ends.

Dobinsons list the raised height as about 45mm at the front and 50mm at the rear, as a guide only. The final height depends on your bar, winch and what you carry in the tray.

  • 2 × Dobinsons Front Leaf Springs, 8 leaves (Y60-8L-F) — or 7 leaves (Y60-7L-F) if you choose
  • 2 × Dobinsons Rear Leaf Springs, right and left, 6+2 leaves 300kg (Y60-6+2-R RH and LH) — or 5+2 up to 150kg / 7+2 500kg if you choose
  • 2 × Dobinsons Nitro Gas Front Shock Absorbers (GS45-640)
  • 2 × Dobinsons Nitro Gas Big Bore Rear Shock Absorbers (GS45-125)
  • Front Spring & Shackle Bush Kit (PB45-1018K)
  • Rear Spring & Shackle Bush Kit (PB59-1019K)
  • Front U-Bolt Kit (UB45-669K)
  • Rear U-Bolt Kit (UB45-670-1K)

Greasable shackles and pins and a heavy duty steering damper can be added from the options above.

Worth knowing before you buy

This kit is for the leaf-front GQ ute only. Patrols with coil springs at the front (GQ and GU wagons, and the coil-front utes) use our other Patrol kits. Not sure which you have? Call us and we will tell you.

Pick the rear spring for the load you actually carry all the time, not the odd heavy trip. A spring that is too stiff for the load rides hard and empty.
