If a tracking number is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders may not have tracking numbers due to provider options.

The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to not place your order if you decide not to.

Delivery charges

What is Rural Delivery fee?
An estimated delivery charge will apply to customers ordering from rural areas. Prior to processing you order on checkout, an alert will appear that will advise customers to call MYTUFF4X4 to obtain an accurate cost of delivery. Please contact MYTUFF4X4 to see a list of Rural and Remote areas. Some areas may take longer due to the frequency of deliveries to the delivery Post code. Our system calculates this estimated price considering the total amount of time to process your order including: packaging, transit time to the delivery provider, and transit time to the delivery address.

When placing your order, we consider these factors when calculating the Estimated Delivery prices :

  • Post code of the nominated delivery address.
  • Transit Time: The amount of time it takes your order to leave our distribution centre and arrive at the local delivery carrier.

What additional fees may apply?
There may be circumstances that require additional payment by you if the conditions mentioned have not been met or you require special services outside of our standard delivery.

Back Orders

If an item goes on back order we will ship you the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available we will ship you the rest of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment.

Delivery Insurance

Goods that are shipped on behalf of the client by Mytuff4x4 are not insured unless the client notifies us prior to delivery and pays for delivery insurance. Mytuff4x4 is not responsible for goods damaged in transit if insurance is not paid for by the customer prior to delivery.

Fitted by mechanics, not just bolted on.

MyTuff4x4 is backed by MB Mechanical Repairs, a full mechanical workshop in Warwick Farm, in the trade since 2011. When we fit a lift kit we look at the whole vehicle, not just the springs and shocks: the CV angles, ball joints, bushes and steering that a lift puts extra strain on. If something is worn, or won’t suit the height you’re after, we tell you before you find out on the track.

Fitting a full kit typically runs $750–$950 in labour. On LandCruisers and Patrols that need the adjustable arms or caster correction bushes as well, it can go up to $1,150. A wheel alignment afterwards is $120, and on a lifted vehicle it isn’t optional.

A Dobinsons IMS Monotube suspension kit for the Nissan Patrol GQ/GU. Lift height around 4″ (100mm).

A monotube runs a single tube with the oil and gas separated by a floating piston. That allows a bigger piston and much better heat rejection than a twin tube, which is what keeps the damping honest when the going gets rough.

What's in the kit

  • 2 × Dobinsons IMS Monotube Front Shock Absorbers (IMS45-60914)
  • 2 × Dobinsons 4″ Front Coil Springs (C45-314, C45-316 or C45-100 — matched to your bar and winch)
  • 2 × Dobinsons IMS Monotube Rear Shock Absorbers (IMS45-60913)
  • 2 × Dobinsons 4″ Rear Coil Springs (C45-107, C45-311T, C45-313T, C45-315T or C45-371T — matched to the load you carry)

Panhard rods, sway bar extensions, an adjustable draglink, castor correction bushes and a steering stabiliser can be added from the options above.

Worth knowing before you buy

There are no CV shafts in the front of a live axle vehicle, so the usual CV boot problem does not apply here. What does change as you lift it is the geometry around the axle.

Caster rolls backwards as the front comes up, and the steering goes light and starts to wander — at 4″ it needs caster correction bushes or plates. The panhard rod stays the same length while the axle moves up, so the axle shifts sideways under the body and the stance goes off centre — at 4″ adjustable panhard rods are strongly recommended. Brake lines get short and want extending. On a taller lift the tailshaft angle can bring on a vibration.

The heavier rear springs (250-400kg and 550-700kg) are tower-braced springs — Dobinsons recommend tower bracing with them.
