Shipping & Returns

Turnaround

All orders are shipped within 1-2 weeks.

If a tracking number is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders may not have tracking numbers due to provider options.

Shipping Rates

The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to not place your order if you decide not to.

Delivery charges

What is Rural Delivery fee?
An estimated delivery charge will apply to customers ordering from rural areas. Prior to processing you order on checkout, an alert will appear that will advise customers to call MYTUFF4X4 to obtain an accurate cost of delivery. Please contact MYTUFF4X4 to see a list of Rural and Remote areas. Some areas may take longer due to the frequency of deliveries to the delivery Post code. Our system calculates this estimated price considering the total amount of time to process your order including: packaging, transit time to the delivery provider, and transit time to the delivery address.

When placing your order, we consider these factors when calculating the Estimated Delivery prices :

  • Post code of the nominated delivery address.
  • Transit Time: The amount of time it takes your order to leave our distribution centre and arrive at the local delivery carrier.

What additional fees may apply?
There may be circumstances that require additional payment by you if the conditions mentioned have not been met or you require special services outside of our standard delivery.

Back Orders

If an item goes on back order we will ship you the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available we will ship you the rest of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment.

MRR or MRA — which one is this?

This one is an MRR: a monotube shock with a remote reservoir, a separate canister holding extra oil and gas away from the shock body. More oil means more heat capacity, so the damping stays consistent on long corrugated roads instead of fading. The damping is set when the shock is built — bolt it on and it works, there is nothing to adjust.

The Dobinsons family have since moved their own range away from the MRR and over to the MRA, which is the same monotube-and-reservoir design with three damping adjusters added. The MRR is still being manufactured by their business partner — the people who designed and built these shocks in the first place, and who helped the Dobinsons family develop their own shock range. That is who we buy ours from, so we can still supply the original MRR.

Go MRR if you want the reservoir's heat control in a set-and-forget shock. Go MRA if you tow, run varying loads, or want to dial compression and rebound in to suit the day. Not sure which you are looking at? The MRA has three adjuster knobs on it. The MRR has none.

Fitting available in Warwick Farm, Sydney. We can supply and fit this at our own workshop, MB Mechanical Repairs — 13 C/4 Homepride Ave, Warwick Farm NSW 2170 (Liverpool), in the trade since 2011. Fitting a full suspension kit — nitro gas, monotube, MRR or MRA — typically runs $750–$950 in labour, on top of the price of the kit. A wheel alignment afterwards is $120 on top of the labour, and on a lifted vehicle it is not optional. Call 02 8747 0325 or get in touch for a firm quote.

A complete four-inch Dobinsons Monotube Remote Reservoir lift for the Toyota Hilux N80 (2015 on). The front shocks are 50mm bore and height-adjustable, so the front ride height can be dialled in to suit what the truck actually carries rather than being fixed by the spring alone.

What's in the kit

  • 2 × Monotube Remote Reservoir front shock absorbers, 50mm bore, custom made to suit, 4″ adjustable height
  • 2 × Dobinsons coilover ‘C’ adjusting spanners
  • 2 × Dobinsons reservoir mounting brackets
  • 2 × Dobinsons front coil springs (multiple rates available to suit your vehicle)
  • 2 × Monotube Remote Reservoir rear shock absorbers, 50mm bore, custom made to suit
  • 2 × Dobinsons raised leaf springs
  • 4 × Dobinsons HT U-bolts
  • 1 × Dobinsons polyurethane bush kit (leaf spring)
  • 2 × Dobinsons rear greasable shackles and pins
  • 2 × Blackhawk upper control arms, 3° caster correction
  • 1 × Phat Bars diff drop kit

The arms and the diff drop are not generic filler — they are Blackhawk and Phat Bars, both of which we sell on their own and both of which we fit every week. The Blackhawk arms carry 3° of caster correction, which is what puts the steering feel back where it belongs after the front comes up. Photos of both are in the gallery above.

Worth knowing before you buy — CV boots

We would rather tell you this up front than have you find out later. At four inches of lift on an independent front end, the CV shafts run at a steeper angle than Toyota designed them for. The first thing to complain is usually the CV boot: it tears, the grease gets thrown out, dirt and water get in, and the joint itself is not far behind.

That is exactly why this kit ships with the Phat Bars diff drop and the Blackhawk arms. They pull the angles back toward standard — but they reduce the problem rather than remove it. Check your boots at every service, replace one the moment it splits rather than waiting, don't wind the adjustable front any higher than you actually need, and get the alignment done properly once the springs have settled.

If four inches is more than you need, come and talk to us — a smaller lift asks far less of the front end, and we would rather sell you the right kit than the biggest one.

Supply and fit at our own workshop

We are not just an online parts shop. MyTuff4x4 runs a fully equipped mechanical workshop at 13 C/4 Homepride Ave, Warwick Farm NSW 2170, a few minutes from Liverpool in south-west Sydney. Buy the kit here and we will fit it, set the ride height and align it for you, or order it and have it sent anywhere in Australia. Call 02 8747 0325 if you want to talk through spring rates for the weight you carry before you order.
